Shipping Asset Management (SAM) has been created in 2009 as a Swiss based shipping company providing ship trading, ship operations and ship management to related and third party ship-owners. SAM Shipping has been building up a fleet of dry cargo bulk-carriers, on behalf of various shareholders and is acting as exclusive agents for the vessel owners.

SAM Shipping has entered the market in early 2009. In a first phase, it was planned to have a diversified fleet of about 10 modern vessels with concentration on the geared sector (handy-size up to Supramax). We retained this sector as it was and still is the only segment where balance between new-building orders and over-aged vessels is favorable. a commercial and technical management agreement. Technical management is being entrusted to Venturi Fleet Management. It is a policy of SAM to keep all vessels to the highest standards of maintenance.

SAM Shipping is gradually increasing its operated fleet as opportunities arise by chartering in tonnage from the market. It is their intention to have, over and above our exclusively controlled tonnage, about the same tonnage on charter.
